NSA Whistleblower: Hero or Traitor?

As many of you have no doubt heard by now, an intelligence contractor named Edward Snowden recently revealed information about a secret government program that collects data on Americans. The story has ignited a political firestorm, as more light has been shed on the highly secret PRISM program – essentially an NSA initiative to monitor our citizens domestically.

The case revolves around the tricky relationship between civil liberties and national security, and has many people debating the issue of domestic surveillance. But the question is, how far should we go to compromise our freedoms for security?

I want to know what you think about this story. Do you think Edward Snowden is a hero for revealing this secret program monitoring Americans, or do you think he is a traitor who’s compromised our nation’s security?
