I’m sure many of you have seen this tragic story from over the weekend, as an entire crew of elite firefighters who lost their lives battling a ferocious wildfire in Arizona. According to this piece on CNN, Sunday was the deadliest day for firefighters in America since 9/11.

My heart goes out to all firefighters who died yesterday and all the other brave men and women who risk their lives to protect ours every day. Events like this really make you pause and reflect, and remember what’s important to you, and it really makes you appreciate the time you are given.

These people are true heroes who step up and perform in the face of danger, all to help protect others. You contributions will never be forgotten. I salute you.
