Sign of the Times: Growing Number of Older Americans File for Bankruptcy

As International Convention week finally arrives, it’s hard to contain my excitement for this incredible event. I can think of so many reasons why people should be here to learn more about the UnFranchise Business and how we convert spending into earning with the Shopping Annuity – but without question time and financial freedom are two things always near the top of the list. This business does so much more than just empower entrepreneurs and consumers – it allows people to build an ongoing income that can supplement or even replace many of the ever-shrinking social safety nets like Social Security and Medicare.

As questions loom about insolvency and their long-term viability, I think its even more critical for people to be proactive about their own financial/retirement situation. These government programs are faltering and are forcing people to work longer than they had planned just to maintain the quality of life they’ve grown used to. Retirement should be a joyous and special time for older Americans but today we’re seeing more and more of them file for bankruptcy. In fact, this recent article from the New York Times highlights the growing problem of older Americans facing bankruptcy.

Compared to the early 1990s, older Americans are filing for bankruptcy three times more often than before. This is a troubling signal and an indication that many Americans aren’t even almost financially prepared for retirement. This is just another reason why everyone needs to attend the Market America 2018 International Convention this week to learn how to capitalize on the ecommerce revolution to help build an ongoing income. You owe it to yourself to be here to learn and grow with the best and brightest entrepreneurs in the world who are changing lives with the Shopping Annuity! Attend #MAIC2018 and develop a Plan B that can help you retire on your terms!

Keep Growing!
