Social Media is a tremendous area to focus on when growing your UnFranchise Business, because customers and prospective partners are all just a click away. Posting about your UnFranchise Business on social media is a great way spark interest, so have a look below at a great infographic filled with useful tips to help you make the most of Facebook. Following this simple guideline when posting can really help boost Facebook engagement, so have a look below at this great infographic, along with more information about how you can leverage social media to grow your business!
#1: Add Photos to your Posts.
Before you click “post” on that text-only status update, think: Should I/can I add a photo to this to make it better? Posts with photos account for 93% of the “most engaging” posts on Facebook. Not only that, they get over 50% more likes, 104% more comments, and 84% more clicks than text-only posts. If you want people to take notice and engage with your content, make sure you’ve got an image to go along with it!
#2: Be concise.
Posts with less than 250 characters (that’s only 110 more characters than the length of a tweet!) get 60% more engagement. Cut your post down to 80 characters and you’ll increase engagement an additional 6%!
#3: Use emoticons (also known as emojis) to help increase post comments.
Add a smiley face to your Facebook update, and your post is likely to get 33% more comments than a post without an emoticon. Crazy, right? Who know those little 2-D facial expressions packed so much power! But wait, there’s more: posts with emoticons get liked 57% more often than posts without them.
#4: Post your most important stuff on Thursday and Friday.
Engagement rates on Facebook are higher across the board towards the end of the week. If you want 18% or higher engagement on an important post, share it on Thursday or Friday to get the most bang for your buck (so to speak).
#5: Post questions to get your network talking.
Question posts, like, “thinking about ordering the Annie’s Mac & Cheese off SHOP.COM Groceries, but I’ve never tried it before. Anyone know if it’s good?” receive 100% more comments than posts without questions (BTW, we love Annie’s Mac & Cheese, especially when it comes with Cashback, in case you were wondering). Make sure your question is an easy one to answer, because that will help increase the number of comments you’ll get.
#6: Make a contest out of it!
Do you have a Facebook Page for your UnFranchise Business? Running a contest to increase the page’s overall engagement and likes can be effective (if done right, of course). A whopping 35% of fans like a page to participate in a contest in the first place, so using contest-related words like winner, win, entry, contest and promotion are more likely to engage people.
#7: Be generous!
Increase engagement by sharing coupons or specials on your Facebook page. For example, you might let your fans know that you have a 10% off coupon code (the one that you must activate in your back office) that you’d like to share with them; all they have to do is send a private message to your page to claim it (a great time to ask for and “capture” their email address for future promotions!). If you don’t have a Facebook page, share an update on your profile that you’re offering free shipping to anyone who puts their favorite products on AutoShip, or privately message friends with the 10% off coupon code. Whatever you do, just make sure that your message conveys that you’re doing a favor for your friend or fans, and that you don’t have any ulterior motives.
If you’ve got some tips of your own, feel free to add your input and share what’s worked for you in the past!
Keep Growing!
