Employment Crossroads: No One Wants to Work?

Team, I recently came across a very interesting article on Entrepreneur.com which raises some questions about the current state of employment in America, and the dwindling desire of its citizens to wallow away in menial jobs.

I don’t mean to belittle the idea of working at places like McDonald’s – on the contrary, it’s no doubt helped many people develop a positive work ethic and helped them get started along their paths in life. But I think it’s safe to say that jobs like these aren’t necessarily all that rewarding or sought after. People don’t often aspire to have an unfulfilling job, but many times that’s what happens.

This is evidenced by an interesting TikTok video clip circulating the internet showing a rather bluntly stated sign at a local McDonald’s (presumably posted by management) essentially stating that some employees didn’t show up because no one wants to work anymore.

I think events like this can be interpreted in numerous different ways, but regardless of the specifics, it’s easy to see people are wising up to the 45-year plan and the unfulfilling nature of tedious employment. I’ve always felt humans were destined for far greater things than menial jobs, and I hope that as we continue evolve and advance as a society people begin to really understand and appreciate their own worth & value to society.

I hope everyone who feels “stuck” in dead-end jobs realizes there are other ways to empower yourself & improve your life, and other pathways to prosperity to explore which deliver a more enriching & fulfilling experience. That’s why I’m such a big believer in entrepreneurism! The best thing is – entrepreneurism is always hiring!

Keep Growing!
