Big Al: Finding Business Partners through the Art of Conversation

Team, I’d like to share with you a great update from Big Al Yentsch which reinforces the importance of discovering possible business connections through casual conversation, and the equally important aspect of conducting follow-ups. Discovering new business partners involves using conversation (I call it the dance) to determine if that person qualifies – and few people are better at this than Al Yentsch. Finding new business partners doesn’t have to be an awkward social endeavor. 

The best in the business use casual conversation to determine if someone is the right fit for the UnFranchise. As Big Al explains, it’s about asking questions while being friendly – it’s not about recruiting! Have a look below at Al’s message as it highlights his effective approach by sparking conversations and discovering how the UnFranchise can benefit the person in question. 

By gauging their responses you’re ultimately screening them to determine if they’re a good fit without being pushy or awkward. This is a great example from Big Al and an effective, casual approach which everyone should try emulating…

Special message from Big Al:

Follow up is key… I met a gentleman at International Convention who was staying in the host hotel where his wedding party was also staying. Questions I Asked [ called Fishing]…

Are you here for the Convention?  

His reply: No

Are you from the area? 

His reply: Yes, I just got married yesterday [that Saturday]

Congratulations….

Are you headed for your honeymoon?  

His reply: No

(WOW….He said he had to work!!!)

What do you do for a living? 

He replied that he is a GM in cars sales in Cincinnati. 

I then asked if he was from Greensboro, and his reply was Yes 

I ask if he is an Entrepreneurial-minded person?  

His reply: Yes

Can I get your cell number? 

His reply: Yes

He then asked me what I was doing here in Greensboro…  

I explained to him that I provide people with a means to create a secondary income with a company based right here in Greensboro, NC.

Since then he has seen the plan, and I’ve also booked him into a Local Seminar which I’m doing November 9th. We’re also scheduling a webinar with a no-decision close later this week to see who qualifies. This is the art of asking questions while being friendly!
