Blackberry Playbook - what is it good for?
As a CEO, it is vital that I have information readily accessible at all times. For quite some time though, it meant carrying around a laptop, a cellphone, folders, USB flash drives, hard drives and more. With the necessity to carry so many gadgets, I had to then remember to pack chargers, memory cards and more. Essentially, I needed an entire bag just for all of my gadgets! This seemed hardly convenient - more like inconvenient. The whole point of technology is to improve upon past technology by making it faster and smaller, not to add more gear.
In 2010 though, things finally changed. Cellphones became smartphones, convergence devices that could make calls but also take pictures and videos. Laptops became tablets, and everyone seemed to want in, with Apple making a huge splash with the iPad,
Then in 2010, Research In Motion (RIMM), announced the Blackberry Playbook -- another tablet coming to market to compete with the Apple juggernaut. While reviews made it sound surprisingly good (and who wouldn't want a Blackberry product, they make great devices for handling email), so far, I'm not sold. There are two main reasons why I'm not sold.
What's Different on The iPHONE iOS4
Are you currently running iOS4 on your Apple iPhone 3G, 3GS or shiny new iPhone 4? With the recent launch of iOS4, the Apple iPhone added in a number of great new features and enhancements to an already superb phone. I wanted to share with you a special note from Christian our social media manager at Market America.

While I’ve personally tried out iOS4 on my previous iPhone 3G and on my new iPhone 4, I can personally attest that both phones will run differently. If you have the 3GS model, it runs everything great — minus the improved camera and video capabilities along with the retina display (which is amazing)!
A breakdown by model:
Selling through widgets
Wow! I couldn't resist taking a few minutes to talk about the proliferation of selling across a number of different websites. Imagine being able to take your own site, crumple it up, and put it into a small widget that carries just about the same amount of selling power (if not more) on someone else's site. I'm elated at the potential that this holds.

Now take with that, the power to earn cashback when someone shops through this widget -- and you've got the future! In all, this is really a win-win situation for everyone!
- Your website earns traffic credit
- The person who installed the widget gets 1/2%
- People that then shop through that widget earn 2% to 35% cashback
What are your thoughts on the power of widget shopping?
Let it rip, let it roar, let it out , let it soar. He who hesitates is lost.

Simplify Your Life...and Your Business
Any of you that know me personally know that I'm an extremely determined person. While there are a number of techniques that you can take to help put you on the right path to success; things like yoga and cutting-edge technology, these things can only carry you so far. The rest if up to you, to program yourself to be a hopeless success. This doesn't necessarily mean just book smarts; rather, programming yourself to be success starts from within, eliminating the distractions that look to derail us (like watching television at a set time -- that's what a Tivo is for).
By programming ourselves to become a hopeless success, not only does it draw us closer to our core, but it also help's us focus on learning important values, so that we can impart our success on others. One of my favorite way's to do this that really help's me focus on being successful and keep's me motivated is by listening to audios.
My routine is pretty simple, load up my iPod or mp3 player, put on my beats by Dr. Dre and just press play. Everything around me, the trivial things, fade into the background allowing me to focus on what is important.
By focusing on what matters, not only will it help simplify your life, but it will also help lead you down the right path to building a successful business and help improve other areas of your life in the process.
So who's ready to become a hopeless success? Check out an audio I recorded to help get you started down the right path to becoming a success.
Keep growing,
JR
