Inspiring others to succeed
A lot of people have to me throughout the years and asked me, how they can be successful. One important thing to know about success, it isn't something that you're born with. Think about it, Eminem became a famous rapper only after he hit a low-point in his life. The same can be said about Jay-Z, Russell Simmons, even George Clooney, who struggled before he finally got a major part on television.
So what makes these people different from everyone else? It isn't the fact that they are celebrities. Rather, they have been determined their entire lives. If you believe you will be successful and work hard at getting yourself there -- you will. Now I'm not talking about putting in 100+ hours in a work week, working two dead-end jobs, and struggling. Instead, these individuals (any many others like them), put themselves in the right positions by first setting goals.
Jay-Z found his passion -- music. Once he had his end goal, he networked and sought out others who were already successful. When he wasn't networking, he honed his craft, his music so that he could be the best that he could be at it. In doing this, he began to gain credibility with others and has since not only made music and won awards, but created a clothing line, restaurants, clubs, and bought part of the Brooklyn Nets.
While these are just a few examples of people that have achieved personal success, it gets me to my main point. All you need is one idea to make it big. Once you have that one idea -- the sky's the limit. In the case of Jay-Z, it was music. Once he reached the pinnacle of music, he branched out and created a second channel, a third channel and so-on.
Market America Completes Acquisition of Shop.com

As you previously saw on the Bloomberg TV interview, people were curious about the shop.com acquisition and the future of Market America. I have to say that when I sat down to reflect all our achievements in the past year I was truly amazed on how much we have grown of what started out of a garage with my beautiful wife Loren Ridinger. Earlier this year we launched ma Cashback program, where we pay up to 50% cashback on your purchases. Since our launch we have added more stores, increased cashback amounts and made a huge push into solidifying our place among the elite online retailers, but we are hungry and our customers are hungry. A magical moment for me happened in the last month which was the acquisition of shop.com
The Joy of the Journey
I find the parallels between the practice of yoga and entrepreneurism to be fascinating. I do not claim to be as accomplished a yogi as I am an entrepreneur, but I do practice both regularly and enjoy the benefits of each these disciplines. Success is a journey, not a destination. This is true both in yoga and in entrepreneurism.

The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step, and that is true of many experiences. Yoga is definitely a process; there is no end to how far we can go or how much we can achieve. A true entrepreneur knows that achieving success is also a continuous process. Every time you succeed or reach a peak, there is another challenge or mountain to climb. The best part of life, entrepreneurism and success is the joy of the journey. In life and entrepreneurism, we are working to take control of our lives and minds.
