Road to Recovery: Loren’s Cerebral Angiogram
Loren has always been an amazingly inspirational woman, and the kind of entrepreneur who eats challenges for breakfast – but I have to tell you, when we discovered that Loren had an aneurism a few weeks back it was rather frightening at first.
Loren is the love of my life, and is my “WHY” – so I was obviously very concerned when we first learned of her condition. Like all other challenges she faces, Loren attacked this head-on, and was determined to get to the bottom of this and employ a course of action that would allow her to quickly recover and move on with her life.
With the help of our dear friends La La and Carmelo Anthony, Loren was fortunate enough to connect with some of the best doctors in the world, who have a great deal of experience with conditions like Loren’s. They concluded the best course of action would be to first conduct a Cerebral Angiogram, followed by another procedure a few weeks later.
Yesterday, Loren bravely faced the first step in her road to recovery by undergoing a Cerebral Angiogram – a procedure that pinpoints the location of aneurisms and other abnormalities in the brain. Loren was a real champion during the whole procedure, as she bravely faced this journey into uncharted waters with an unwaveringly positive mental attitude.
Challenges can often times be looked upon as obstacles to overcome, but keeping a positive mental outlook can really help you grow from these experiences and overcome setbacks in your life. Problems like this never seem to come at the right time, but Loren never allows it to be an excuse. Rather, she looks upon this as yet another adventure, and a unique opportunity to help people by raising awareness for this condition.
Her positive mindset and attitude is a true inspiration to us all – she continues to make me so proud. I am honored to be able to call such a brave and remarkable person my wife. In her typical selfless nature, Loren’s main concern right now is helping raise awareness for this all too common condition – so that others may seek out the treatment they need.
To be honest, we were lucky that this aneurism was even discovered, as thousands of people die from them each year without ever knowing they had it in the first place. For Loren, it started simply enough, with mild symptoms such as numbness and vertigo – so if you experience these types of issues you definitely need to consult your physician to find out what is going on and to determine if you are at risk.
With the grace of God, Loren will overcome and triumph over this challenge and come out of it even stronger and more focused than before – of this I have no question. The same focus and determination that has made Loren a fashion icon and business leader will no doubt carry her through this challenging episode in her life.
Ever the consummate entrepreneur, Loren was even making business calls on her way to the operating room – talk about FOCUS! And speaking of focus, Loren is already up and about – working hard to prepare for next week’s Market America International Convention! She hasn’t missed a beat!
Loren will have just one more procedure following International Convention, as they will seal off her aneurism on August 16th. Luckily for Loren her prognosis is excellent, as the doctors feel this condition is manageable and treatable – but not everyone is so lucky. That’s why Loren and I feel it’s imperative that you speak with your doctor to determine if you are at risk yourself!
We truly appreciate the outpouring of love and support being bestowed upon us by friends and family. We love you all and thank you for your kind words. Loren and I can’t wait to see you at International Convention!
Keep Growing!
