Turning Lemons into Lemonade

I love stories like this! When you are in the trenches building the business, some of the craziest things can happen. A Director (or someone who has a Director’s mentality and does what a Director does all the time and is waiting for the volume to catch up) turns every experience into success.

Problems are doorways that lead to success! This one is a relatively new UFO on the rise and he tells a story that many of have experienced. It’s a great story and testimonial and a demonstration of how the right mindset can result in turning all situations into opportunities for growth! Turn lemons into lemonade!

Keep growing!

Hey JR,

Haha ok here goes…Well she invited loads of people, but she organized her event on the day of some local annual parade so 8 people came. Not a bad crowd though. 3 of them did not know it concerned a make-up event and 1 of them was proudly stating she did not wear make-up ever, not even on her wedding day.

Nevertheless she was talking and talking and talking away to the others, completely killing the buzz of the event until I had enough and spoke to her separately asking her discretely and politely to make a little bit more effort to help her friend with either trying the make-up, paying attention to the make-up or buy some make-up for her daughter or at least interact or do something, if not, then just leave as she wasn´t doing her friend any favor and I didn’t drive 200 miles for nothing just to get messed around by her.

She got offended, kicked up a fuzz, started to throw some make-up around, Maloles got more and more red in the face being 7 months pregnant and not in the best of humor that day, she almost punched her in the face if it wasn´t for the husband that stepped in and took her away. Basically she was just there to see her fail and to screw her over, daughter was crying, was a real mess, everyone was looking for the hidden camera, felt like comic relief.

So this lady that was doing the trial with us wisely thanked me for having gotten rid of one unhealthy friend, made some sales with the people that did enjoy themselves and we then closed the event. We met up the next day and signed her up anyway, saying that she learned a lot, especially how not to do things and she was eager to make it happen the next time around.

We worked her nameslist on the spot and did some calls to 5 of them instantly doing a few 3-way calls and we are going to come back next week to do a UBP and Motives event with two of them and their friends, so all in all a screwed up event with some great follow-up.

We did 2 level-B’s there the second day and they went well. Next week we are moving to the C-level with the two groups, so we ought to get some ripe distributor fruit falling from the tree then. We are signing up loads of people these days, got a dozen qualified already with their two people having people etc…

Talk soon my friend, big things are coming!
