When businesses expand

Growing a business is no small feat.  In fact, it is often one of the biggest failures for small businesses -- trying to expand too big, too fast.  Fortunately, my company, Market America, has been able to weather the growing pains that are often associated with an expansion.  Just this past weekend, we made global history in Taipei, Taiwan, where we had 18,000 UnFranchise® owners at our Taiwan Convention.

Not only were we able to use Skype to communicate with the 18,000 attendees, but we also announced a number of new updates. We launched a redesigned Market Taiwan web portal, we also rolled out ma Network, an app for the social networking site, Facebook, to make social shopping easier for Taiwan customers.

All-in-all, it was a great weekend for Market America and Market Taiwan and we're looking forward to continued growth in 2011 and beyond, as we continue to build and improve on our technology, helping make online shopping bigger, better, faster and easier.

Were you at the Market Taiwan convention? Leave a comment, telling me your favorite thing that you learned and how you will use your newfound knowledge to expand your business.

Keep growing. I believe in you.

JR

The people of Taiwan seem so open and kind; what a privilege to be working with them. I was not at the Market Taiwan convention, but I intend to try and expand my business in Taiwan through my nephew who works on contract in Taiwan periodically through his engineering business.
